MASS is pleased to be hosting the Church of the Friendly Ghost and to be welcoming the international multimedia performance trio veRmulsCHt!

Hailing from France, Germany and the United States veRmulsCHt perform live collage with videos, spoken word, found objects and field recordings culled from their trips through the universe. For improvised travel logs and theatrical lectures with film performances all punctuated by saxophones, we’ve got you covered. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss these charming and unpredictable raconteurs.

veRmulsCHt are: Pierre Borel (FR/DE): diffusion, objects and saxaphone//Karla Kunger (FR): video, collage//Paul Roth (US/DE): lecture, diffusion and saxaphone

Also featured on this evening’s bill will be Austin’s  Twigs & Yarn. The duo of Lauren McMurray and Stephan Orsak use guitars, voice, children’s toys, found objects, field recordings, clinking cans, and a variety of homemade instruments to create the delicate and intimate ambient soundscapes which comprise their live performances.

We are happy to have an ensemble of collaborators and composers representing the Austin new music series Tetractys. The Tetractys series seeks to cultivate a thriving new music scene through educational outreach and by commissioning and presenting works from living composers to a broader audience.

The ensemble will be performing contemporary compositions by James Burch, John Fielder and Michael Gordon, performed by the following musicians:

// Matt Armbruster and James Burch: Cello// Marley Eder: Flute// John Fielder: Electronics// Tim O’Brien: Narrator
