A multi media screening, performance and interactive installation brings Max Juren’s short film, Blade Roller, to life. Featuring a large projection of the video, interactive skate elements ablaze under UV light and a haunting soundtrack. The audience is invited to skate.
Max Juren is a filmmaker and performance artist based in Austin, Texas. His work spans from pop song implosion one man band Tiny James and the Regular Sized Peach, to whimsical sculptural installations. From absurdly humorous short videos, to his intellectual wormhole of a feature film, The Third Person. His current video work focusses on the surreal confluence of inline skates, saxophone music, and the possibility of peaceful aliens.
This project is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division believing an investment in the Arts is an investment in Austin’s future. Visit Austin at NowPlayingAustin.com.
